News · M-A Varsity Girls and Boys win Serra Top 7 Invitational

Over this past weekend, the Menlo-Atherton track and field team got the opportunity to race at the Serra Top 7 Invitational. All our athletes raced well, even though it was pretty windy. To start off the day the girls 4×100 relay team, Autriyana Hardy, Jessica Eagle, Maggie Hall, and Lauren Collinsworth, won their event. The boys 4×100 relay team got second. Sara Osteberg won the mile and many more placed in the top ten.

Malia Latu got second in the 400 meter race. Jessica Eagle won the 100 meter race. Sara also won the 3200, and Claire Bebe places second. Senior sprinter, Tyriece Haldrenth, says he “feels our team did fantastic, the girls won their events and so did the most of the boys. It was super fun to watch and I was glad I got a chance to race.” Francisco Sanchez won the 100 meter race for the boys. Jacob Chavez places 4th in the 400 meter race for the boys. Cole Mediratta won the boys 3200. Noa Ngalu got second in the boys varsity discus with a mark of 146 feet.

Overall, the M-A varsity girls won the meet and so did the M-A varsity boys.
